Youth Innovation Challenge
The Benguela Current Convention Youth Ambassadors will launch the youth innovative challenge at a platform where young people are encouraged to share their innovative solutions to challenges faced by the BCC, e.g. waste management, pollution monitoring.

Africa Climate Week 2020/21
Due to Covid-19, it might be held virtually. More details to be obtained from UNFCCC for possible dates. Depending on the Covid-19 situation in Namibia, the BCCYA would like to extend this initiative to share more information with youth in Namibia regarding climate change.

A two-day event, Day 1: Information sharing on the current state of climate change in Namibia, how young people can be involved, and sharing information of various climate initiatives in Namibia and to the continental Level. Day 2: Youth Dialogue on Climate Action. Engagement with local authorities on strategies in place to tackle climate change and mitigation measures in their communities. (TBA, 2021)

School Engagements
The BCCYA ought to engage schools in the coastal areas and educate them on the BCC, its mandate, its activities and how they as individuals can contribute to the blue economy. Information sharing with schools. The ambassadors can divide themselves across two regions to cover more schools in the coastal areas (Luderitz, Orangemund, Swakopmund, and Henties Bay etc.). (TBA)

Benguela Current Youth Forum Namibia
The BCC to host a youth forum, update youth on BCC, the role of youth in BCC, how young people can play a key role in the BCC and BCC projects, BCC Youth Ambassadors profiling. (TBA)
